Strategic Cultural Partnership in the UK market

In recent years, the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir has deliberately strengthened its presence in the United Kingdom. In 2025, the choir performed at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, at the Barbican Hall, and in further concerts across England and Scotland. This forms part of a long-term strategy to establish EPCC as a visible and valued partner in the UK music landscape.

A central step in this strategic cooperation is the collaboration with the Academy of Ancient Music. In September 2026, within the framework of Arvo Pärt Days, joint concerts will take place in Tallinn and Tartu under the direction of Tõnu Kaljuste, presenting works by Arvo Pärt and Johann Sebastian Bach.

The same programme will be performed in London at the Barbican Hall in May 2027. This continuity strengthens long-term artistic ties and ensures sustained visibility for Estonian music on one of the most influential cultural markets in Europe.

To realise this next phase of the partnership, we are seeking to raise an additional €40,000. Your support will directly contribute to bringing these concerts to international audiences, deepening cooperation with leading UK institutions, and reinforcing Estonia’s cultural presence abroad.

Partnership with EPCC offers association with an internationally recognised cultural brand, visibility within the UK cultural sphere, and participation in a project with a distinctly international reach. If this initiative aligns with your objectives, we would be pleased to discuss suitable forms of cooperation confidentially.

We would be grateful for your support in helping us bring this strategic project to completion.

MUSIC RECORDINGS AND NEW RELEASES

Recording and documenting music is a central part of the mission of the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir. It strengthens international visibility, reaches audiences beyond the concert hall, and preserves repertoire for the future.

In 2026, we will record music for two new albums, further expanding our discography of nearly 80 releases. Both rojects will be realised in collaboration with the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Tõnu Kaljuste.

One album will be dedicated to the music of Kareem Roustom, following our previous collaboration in 2023. The programme for choir and string orchestra brings together recent works and new compositions created within this artistic partnership.

The second album, marking the 80th anniversary year of Pēteris Vasks, will focus on his music, combining his Symphony No. 1 for Strings Balsis with selected choral works.

Both albums will be released internationally under renowned labels and distributed worldwide.

Support these new recordings and help us reach wider audiences internationally.
