The Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir invites you to celebrate its 45th anniversary with concerts that bring to life authentic, heartfelt stories – music that feels both ancient and strikingly contemporary.

Under the direction of the choir’s founder and long-time chief conductor Tõnu Kaljuste, the programme features the music of the legendary Estonian composer Veljo Tormis, whose works have been an inseparable part of the choir’s repertoire and artistic identity for decades.

The performance includes two of Tormis’s timeless cycles, Women’s Songs and Men’s Songs, powerful musical narratives of work and nature, human experience and emotion – where joy, anger, sorrow, worry and longing stand side by side. These visually and musically compelling anniversary concerts invite audiences to immerse themselves in music that resonates deeply within us all.

Over the decades, the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir has risen under Tõnu Kaljuste’s leadership to the very pinnacle of professional classical music worldwide. The choir has received numerous international accolades, including two Grammy Awards, and has twice been ranked among the world’s ten finest choirs.
