Cätly Talvik (alto) is a graduate of the Georg Ots School of Music in Tallinn in choral conducting in 2012.  She received a degree in classical vocal performance from the Estonian Academy of  Music and Theatre in 2018. Cätly has also studied with Kaia Urb.

Cätly has been singing since she was a child. She was a member of the Estonian Television Youth Choir until 2011.  She has also been a singer in several of Estonia’s national choirs and in the Collegium Musicale ja Voces Musicales chamber choirs. She has been singing in the European Choir Academy (EuropaChorAkademie) since 2011, collaborating with conductors such as Sylvain Cambreling, Gustavo Dudamel and Paavo Järvi. In 2016 she joined European Vocal Soloists projects.

Cätly has also worked as a choral conductor and a music teacher in kindergarten and in school. She was the conductor of the Riisipere Chamber Choir from 2013 to 2018.

Cätly joined the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir in 2014. Her great favourites in the Choir’s repertoire are most of Arvo Pärt’s works.

Cätly spends most of her free time with her small son, husband and two dogs. She also loves to travel for pleasure and capture her travels on camera.
