Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie (The German Chamber Philharmonie) is the only elite orchestra in Germany that has a base-democratic constitution. Its members, formerly musicians of the Jungen Deutschen Philharmonie (Young German Philharmonie), have the luxury to work under the conduct of best conductors of the world. Their current artsitic director Paavo Järvi has taken after his famous father Neeme and is performing a lot of music from his homeland Estonia, naturally also Arvo Pärt's music. In Heidelberg we hear the Austrian volinist Thomas Zehetmair by Järvi's side.
