The 6th Arvo Pärt's album 'Te Deum' was recorded for ECM by Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and Tallinn Chamber Orchestra conducted by Tõnu Kaljuste and includes all the works' premier recordings.
The album's title piece written in 1985 acquired the devised sound only in Tõnu Kaljuste's interpretation which according to the composer's words gave the work its right to exist.
The recording was nominated for Grammy's best choral performance award.
