The EPCC has started a three-week tour in Australia, where the choir will give nine concerts together with the Australian Chamber Orchestra under the artistic director of the ACO Richard Tognetti and two a cappella concerts with Tõnu Kaljuste.
From 2 to 13 February the concerts will be given with the renowned Australian Chamber Orchestra at the prestigious concert halls, including Sydney City Recital Hall, Sydney Opera House, Australian National University, Canberra, Arts Centre Melbourne, Adelaide Town Hall and Perth Concert Hall. The programme „Arvo Pärt & JS Bach“ contains Arvo Pärt’s Berliner Messe, four Bach’s motets, Galina Grigorjeva’s In Paradisum and Peter Sculthorpe’s Djilile.
The last two concerts take place at the Pert Festival under Tõnu Kaljuste. In 15 February the choir will perform Arvo Pärt’s Kanon Pokajanen and in 16 February the programme „Northern Lights“ includes the pieces by Veljo Tormis, Arvo Pärt, Benjamin Britten, Einojuhani Rautavaara and Raymond Murray Schafer.
