Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir (EPCC) Studio was formed in the beginning of the season, the studio aims to train musicians for the choir, offering young and talented singers an opportunity to develop themselves through the EPCC experience.

This season the studio program includes seven young singers (two sopranos, one alto, three tenors, one bass), who were screened out from among 63 candidates at the chamber choir auditions in spring.

The studio activities offer for young singers a chance to observe the daily work of the EPCC, participate at the rehearsal process, receive comprehensive professional information, use the music library and archive materials, consult with the EPCC coaches and participate in some concert projects.

Managing Director of the EPCC, Esper Linnamägi speaks about the work of the studio: „Forming of the studio resulted from the need to educate members for the choir. Currently we have a strong cast of singers, with whom we have given very good concerts, the choir has received much acclaim both here in Estonia and also from guest conductors and critics abroad. But we need to ensure the same high standard in the future as well; and occasionally we may need additional forces to perform large-scale works.“

Henceforth the studio program plans to offer regular vocal trainings and ensemble lessons.
