EPCC and Daniel Reuss give the last concert of the year on December 22, in Concertgebouw Brygge, Belgium.
The program „Christmas in the North“ includes interesting choice of Christmas Orthodox music by 19th and 20th century Ukraine and Russian composers, as Vasyl Barvinskyi, Kyrylo Stetsenko, Yakiv Yatsynevich, Mykola Leontovych, Georgiy Izvekov, many of their heritage has been forgotten for years or rarely performed.
The second part of the program presents more contemporary religious works by Arvo Pärt, Alfred Schnittke and Galina Grigorieva.
