18-20 October the EPCC and Tallinn Chamber Orchestra under Tõnu Kaljuste perform Arvo Pärt’s music in three concerts in Mexico.
On October 18, the concert is given at Teatro del Bicentenarios, Leon; on October 19 the musicians participate in famous International Cervantino Festival at Teatro Juárezis, Guanajuato and on October 20, the concert is at Palacio de Bellas Arte, México City.
The programme consists of Pärt’s compositions “Fratres“ (soloist Harry Traksmann), “Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten”, “Adam’s Lament”, “Salve Regina” and “Te Deum”.
Besides, a new piece, “Virgencita”, written especially for this festival, will have its premiere.
The concerts of the Estonian musicians in Mexico will be visited also by the Estonian Foreign Minister, Mr Urmas Paet.
