In February this year the whole world celebrates the 200th anniversary of one of the most famous romantic composers – Felix Mendelssohn. On this occasion EPCC under Daniel Reuss gives two concerts: on February 13 in Haapsalu Dome Church and on February 14 in Niguliste Church, Tallinn.
The program includes Felix Mendelssohn’s Psalms op 78, Estonian composer Cyrillus Kreek’s religious folk songs and Frank Martin’s Mass for Double Chorus a cappella.
Felix Mendelssohn (1809–1847) is one of the most outstanding musicians in the 19th century, who was a composer, conducter, pianist as well as an active music life organiser.
