The Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir gives two concerts in Bergen International Festival under Paul Hillier. In 27 May the concert is given in Håkon Hall, where the choir will perform Edvard Grieg’s last composition Four Hymns for Choir, op. 74 and works by Grieg’s contemporaries Frederick Delius and Percy Grainger. In 28 May the concert “Baltic Voices” takes place in Bergen Dome Church, where the works by Jean Sibelius, Erik Bergman, Cyrillus Kreek, Veljo Tormis, Arvo Pärt etc will be sung.
The Bergen International Festival takes place from 23 May to 5 June and it presents art in all its guises: music, literature, theatre, dance, opera and visual art. The Bergen International Festival is the largest of its kind in the Nordic countries, with 160 events in 14 days.
