A Dutch conductor Daniel Reuss starts as an artistic director and chief conductor of the EPCC in september 2008. 



Daniel Reuss (b. 1961) has been for years a chief conductor of Cappella Amsterdam, which is one of the most sought after choirs in the Netherlands. In 2003–2006  he was a chief conductor of the RIAS Kammerchor in Berlin, with whom he has recorded a number of successful CDs. Their CD with works by Martin and Messiaen (Harmonia Mundi) won both the “Diapason d’or de l’année 2004” and the “Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik”. As a guest conductor Reuss is active throughout Europe, conducting orchestra’s, choirs and ensembles such as  the Concertgebouw Chamber Orchestra, the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Concerto Köln, the Schönberg Ensemble, the Netherlands Radio Choir, Collegium Vocale Gent etc.


In February 2007, Reuss made a successful debut at the English National Opera with Händel’s “Agrippina”.


 


Daniel Reuss signs a contract in Tallinn on May 17.
