Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir will be giving several summer concerts at different churches in Estonia from August 7 – 19. The program celebrates Arvo Pärt and Early Music with performances in different towns of Estonia: Rapla, Vigala, Paide, Kuressaare etc. At three concerts, in Tallinn, Pärnu and Võru, a reknown British organist Christopher Bowers-Broadbent, one of the best interpreters of Pärt’s music among organists, is also participating. The conductor is EPCC’s artistic director and principal conductor Paul Hillier who has worked together with both the choir and the organist for a long time. The month of September will take the choir to Italy where they will perform at the Torino Arvo Pärt Festival under both Tõnu Kaljuste and Paul Hillier. Concerts will be given also in Perugia and Milano. The choir will open its new season on the International Day of Music, October 1st, with a concert in Rakvere.
