The EPCC as a full-time professional choir was occifially founded on the 1st of July in 1981.<BR><\/SPAN><SPAN style=\"FONT-SIZE: 10pt; COLOR: black; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-language: EN-US\">The founder of the choir, T\u00f5nu Kaljuste, acted as its artistic director and chief conductor for 20 years. Since 2001 the choir&#8217;s artistic director and chief conductor has been Paul Hillier.<SPAN style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><SPAN style=\"FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><br \/>\n<P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-SIZE: 10pt; COLOR: black; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-language: EN-US\">The EPCC has become the best-known Estonian classical music performer and one of the best choirs in the world. The choir has collaborated with several well-known recording companies and has also been very successful as a performing group at prominent concert venues and festivals.<BR><\/SPAN><SPAN style=\"FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana\">On its birthday the choir will return from France, the Festival de Saint-Denis.<o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P><br \/>\n<P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana\">Next season of the EPCC will be opened on the 3rd and the 4th of August on Naissaare island with the programme &#8220;Evenings with Arvo P\u00e4rt&#8221;.<o:p><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P><br \/>\n<P class=MsoNormal style=\"MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt\"><SPAN style=\"FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana\"><o:p>&nbsp;<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir celebrates its 25th anniversary on Saturday, the 1st of July.
