Ott Kask (bass) is from Kuusalu parish near Tallinn. His first experience of music was while studying trumpet under his father at the local music school in Kuusalu. He progressed with his music studies in the choir conducting department, under the tutelage of Peeter Perens at the Georg Ots Tallinn Music School, and further on at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, which he graduated from in 2015 under Tõnu Kaljuste.

During his school time Ott sang in many ensembles, including the European Choir Academy, Voces Musicales, Vox Clamantis and Estonian Voices, with whom he has performed in Estonia as well as abroad – in Europa, Russia, Japan, Columbia, and the USA.

Ott saw the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir give a concert at his local school when he was still at school himself, and consequently dreamt of doing the same one day. This powerful experience motivated him to attend an EPCC audition, and since 2016 he has been full member of the choir. One of Ott’s favourite works in the choir’s portfolio is Arvo Pärt’s ‘Adam’s Lament’. He was also a solo Evangelist in Arvo Pärt’s ‘Passio’.

Besides training his vocal skills, in his spare time Ott delves into the computer and programming world, alongside doing sports like running and gymnastics.
