Before the season opening concert on October 8 in Rakvere, the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and the city of Rakvere sign a collaboration contract for three seasons. The idea has come from Rakvere with the purpose to enliven its cultural life and bring more classical top events to town. It is already for the second time for EPCC to open its season in Rakvere and it will be so for another two years. The city of Rakvere is going to organize an international music festival in September 2005, dedicated to Arvo Pärt’s 70th birthday. Paul Hillier will serve as artistic director and EPCC as principal performer for the festival.
