This autumn, musical world will celebrate the 85th birthday of one of the most important composers of our time – Sofia Gubaidulina.

Andres Mustonen as a long-time close creative partner of Gubaidulina and the premier performer of many of her masterpieces will premiere her last masterpiece in Tallinn, in relation to the jubilee. Oratorio “On Love and Hatred” will be heard in this particular concert as a complete premiere.
Sofia Gubaidulina is of Tartar origin and with orthodox beliefs; she has studied in Kazan and Moscow. Until 1992, she lived and worked in Moscow, since 1992, she lives in Germany. Her musical symbols carry in themselves mystique, metaphysics, religious spirituality and her musical fantasy often works around the themes of the apocalypse and the Day of Judgment.

In collaboration with Eesti Kontsert and Estonian National Symphony Orchestra
