On April 24–28, the EPCC, Cappella Amsterdam, and the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra under the conductor Daniel Reuss record Frank Martin’s oratorio “Golgotha” in Estonia Concert Hall in Tallinn. Soloist ensemble include Judith Gauthier (soprano), Marianne Beate Kielland (mezzo-soprano), Adrian Thompson (tenor), Mattijs van de Woerd (bariton) and Konstantin Wolff (bass).

CD will be released by Harmonia Mundi. EPCC and Harmonia Mundi have cooperated since the year 2001, during this time ten CDs have been recorded. Many of them have won several prizes, including Grammy award (Pärt’s “Da Pacem”), Diapason D’Or (“Baltic Voices 3“) etc.

 

 

Cappella Amsterdam is a professional chamber choir that was founded in 1970. Over the past years the ensemble, under the direction of Daniel Reuss, has occupied a prominent position in the fields of both early music and the contemporary repertoires.
